Taiyo America Inc. was formed in 1990 and began the manufacturing of high quality solder mask coatings in 1995 at its headquarters in Carson City, Nevada. Taiyo America and its parent, Taiyo Ink Manufacturing Company of Tokyo, Japan, are the largest suppliers of solder mask for rigid and flexible printed circuit boards and packaging substrates in the Americas and the world. Its industry standard PSR-4000 family of photoimageable solder masks, that includes many colors and surface finishes, is world renowned.

Taiyo America also produces laser direct imageable (LDI) solder mask, UV and thermal solder masks, legend inks, HDI materials, dielectric coatings, etch resists (including waterborne) and a variety of products for via hole plugging or protection.
